Much attention is currently paid to the construction of training systems for training dispatchers of complex control systems in various fields of human activity. The modern Automated Process Control Systems (APCS) used for the management and control over the distributed power facilities require new approaches to ensuring their validity, reliability and fault tolerance. The paper presents new theoretical approaches and practical implementation of training systems for the basics of management and control of the distributed power facilities in the context of the proposed new methods to improve the validity, reliability and fault tolerance. In connection with the constant increase of the volume of information flow, visible obsolescence of the controlled power equipment, the constant increase in the number of emergency and accidents at power facilities, malfunctions and failures of monitoring equipment have been observed.
