EFFECT OF ATTITUDE PARAMETERIZATION ON THE PERFORMANCE OF PASSIVITY-BAS ED ADAPTIVE ATTITUDE CONTROL

Spacecraft attitude control research has focused on finding new control schemes and improving old ones to obtain better controller performance. Little if any investigation has been made of the effect attitude parameterization has on controller performance. This paper contains a numerical study of the effect of attitude parameterization on passivity-bas ed adaptive attitude control. It is shown that the choice of attitude parameterization can have a significant effect on controller performance.
