A Fast Matlab toolbox for electrical machinery

This paper is introducing a fast Matlab toolbox to analysis the transient behavior of three-phase electrical machinery (EM). The well known models with several differential equations of voltage and current in rotor reference frame along with the torque and speed equations is used in matrix form to model the EM such synchronous machine, induction machine and DC machine. In order to fast simulation all equations are represent in state space form. Also, in the proposed models, the saturation is considered. The commercial software package, MATLAB, is used to implement the transient behavior of the models. The validation and speed of obtained models is tested and compared with Matlab/Simulink conventional model and published papers. The results show that an excellent agreement is obtained demonstrating the accuracy of the proposed model. Also, the simulation speed of the proposed approach is shown an excellent result compared with conventional approaches.
