Simulation Analysis of RS-Turbo Concatenated Code over DVB-T Channel

This paper outlines the application of Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing(OFDM) in digital communication channel,then describes the RS code,studies the Turbo Codes and Turbo decoding algorithm,proposes the concatenation of Turbo Code and RS code and analyzes the performances of the new concatenated Forward Error Correct(FEC) scheme applied to an OFDM system based on the digital terrestrial video broadcasting(DVB-T) scheme.The results are compared with the standard DVB-T convolutional codes performances on Added White Gsussian Noise(AWGN) channels.The simulation results indicate that,by employing Turbo codes with only a little increase of iterations,overall performance of the system can be improved significantly.
