Relative Position Filter For Constellation Satellites With Vision

This paper investigates a relative position filtering method. It provides a solution to determine the relative position among the constellation satellites. Firstly, the state equation of satellite motion is obtained according to C-W equation. Then the relative position and velocity parameters are estimated by determining the observation equation based on the measurement from vision camera. The Extended Kalman filter method is applied to determine the relative orbit. Finally, the feasibility of Extended Kalman filter is proved by the simulation of a constellation with two satellites.
