System Engineering has become increasingly complex over years. Not only the designed product itself must fulfill more requirements (functional, performances, ergonomics, interoperability, safety, ...) but additional constraints such as environmental friendliness, globalization, OEM / Suppliers relationships, intellectual property, regulatory compliance and many more must be integrated in the design process. This implies an extended multidisciplinary collaboration between system engineers and beyond with all participants and stakeholder of the project. The Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) use case illustrates how a modern tool suite can dramatically optimize the product development process. All the required information is made accessible in an integrated environment to ensure collaboration, project management, wise decision making and ultimately to help to imagine sustainable innovations capable of harmonizing product, nature and life.
