Application of CPLD to DSP AC motor control systems

The architecture and functions of Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD) is introduced in this paper. Its in-system programming (ISP) and high performance on pin-to-pin logic delay on all pins are convenient conditions for designers. An actual AC motor control system design based on DSP and its experimental results show that the system with CPLD is more reasonable and compact.
