AN IMPROVED “ONE-POT” PROCEDURE FOR SYNTHESIS OF FLUORINATED DL-PHENYLALANINES

ABSTRACT DL-arylalanines were synthesized from corresponding aromatic aldehydes by an efficient “one-pot” procedure involving Erlenmeyer reaction and subsequent reduction of the resulting oxazolones (without prior isolation) using P/HI.
