Comparative Analysis of Software Quality Models

As software becomes more and more pervasive, there has been a growing concern about software quality. This concern arises from the fact that the main objective of software engineering is to produce good quality maintainable software in time and within budget. Quality is the combination of many characteristics, like conformance to requirements, fitness for the purpose, level of satisfaction. A number of well known qualities models are used to build quality software. Different researchers have proposed different software quality models to help measure the quality of software products. Different concepts of software quality characteristics are reviewed and discussed in this paper along with a comparative analysis of various software quality models used by various organizations.
