Atomic Data from the Opacity Project

The “Opacity Project” is an international collaboration dedicated to the calculation of stellar envelope opacities and the accurate atomic data that are required. The volume and accuracy of the atomic database generated in the project are evaluated by making comparisons with the best available experimental and theoretical datasets. We also describe the main features of a database management system, referred to as TOPBASE, that has been developed for efficient use of the Opacity Project atomic data.
