Software measurement study in object-oriented design:state of art

In order to study object-oriented software measurement systematically and deeply,this paper began with its concept originally introduced by Rubey Hartwick in year 1968,then summaried its research field from four points of view,such as its definition,theoretical validation,empirical validation and support tools.Furthermore,concluded empirical validation from six aspects,such as internal software property,external software property,data source,developing languages,empirical methods and conclusion.Finally,pointed out the existing problems and the prospects.
