In this paper the determination of the equilibrium shape of levitated molten metal in axisymmetric induction heating system is presented. The electromagnetic field is calculated using finite element method. For the equilibrium shape determination we use sensitivity analysis as a kind of optimization algorithm. Since in this process the volume of metal must be kept constant and it is a nonlinear function of shape parameters, the gradient projection method is used. A numerical example validates this algorithm. >
