A generalization of the Geske formula for compound options

Abstract A generalization of the Geske formula for compound options is derived in the case of time-dependent volatility and interest rate. A comparison with the Geman–El Karoui–Rochet formula is also provided. Such a generalization seems to be more appropriate for the evaluation of compound real (growth) options.
