An Original UWB Radar Platform Based on Coherent Interleaving Sampling Technique

This paper presents an original Ultra Wide Band (UWB) radar platform based on a coherent sub-sampling technique. The receiver of this UWB radar has a wide RF bandwidth [DC-5] GHz, and is based on the use of a Track and Hold Amplifier (THA) coupled with a Coherent Interleaving Sampling (CIS) technique. A SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) radar demonstration is realized and allows obtaining high dynamic images with a centimeter range resolution.
