On ℋ∞ control with multiple packet dropouts: Dealing with repeated scalar nonlinearities

This paper investigates the ℋ∞ control problem for a class of systems with repeated scalar nonlinearities and multiple packet dropouts. The nonlinear system is described by a discrete-time state equation involving repeated scalar nonlinearities. The multiple packet-dropout phenomenon is assumed to occur in both the senor-to-controller and the controller-to-actuator channels, and the data missing law for each individual sensor/actuator satisfies individual probabilistic distribution in the interval [0 1]. An observer-based feedback controller is designed to stochastically stabilize the closed-loop control system and preserves a guaranteed ℋ∞ performance. Two examples are provided to show the applicability of the proposed theoretical results.
