Cardiovascular health informatics: Wearable intelligent sensors for e-health (WISE)

HEALTH informatics refers to the processing, storage, transmission, acquisition, and retrieval (p-STAR) of information from biological systems for the early detection, early prediction, early prevention, early diagnosis and early treatment of diseases [1]–[2]. Since one of the ultimate goals for the research in this area is to detect symptoms or risk factors at an early stage, multi-parameter sensors with higher sensitivity and multi-modal imaging devices with higher resolution are demanded.
