In order to promote the networking and intelligent development of embedded devices,this paper gives three embedded Ethernet interface design methods based on 32-bit ARM processor S3C2410 and Ethernet controller CS8900A,DM9000,RTL8019AS,including their functions and principles,the network interface hardware circuit connections and software design.In the software part,the driver of network devices program is provided,and the steps concerned during the transplant of driver program in Linux are presented.Based on these hardware and software;an embedded Ethernet interface card is designed and completed,and this card has such features as small dimension,easy implementation,and high cost-effectiveness.The modular method is also adopted in the process of system design and implementation,and thus the system is open in structure and easy for extension and upgrade.The experimental result shows that the system could operate properly and reliably.
