Conclusion: Human Resources — A Strategy

There is a great danger in trying to pull together the many complex threads that have been discussed throughout this book. The greatest of all is that the neat summary can suggest that there is an all-embracing formula which will apply under all conditions, at all times and in all organisations. This is simply not true and, hopefully, this has been made clear in the preceding chapters. Equally dangerous is to suggest that elements can be extracted from the whole and be successfully introduced without consideration of their interdependence with other factors.
