Co-simulation of cylinder impact process based on Simulink and ANSYS

Take the most widely used linear cylinder as research object, use the quality-alterable air's thermodynamics establish the mathematical model of cylinder impact process. Obtain the parameters of the pressure in rod chamber and rodless chamber through solving the differential equations in Simulink. Then simulate the cylinder impact process in Transient dynamic module of ANSYS. The simulation boundary conditions are the parameters getting from Simulink simulation. Eventually, get the dynamic stress and maximum stress position in impact process. By comparing the piston velocity gets from this two software, found that the result has fine consistency. It proves the validity and feasibility of the approach, also provide a reference for co-simulation analysis of Simulink and ANSYS.
