Application of Quantitative Feedback Theory in Aero-Engine Robust Multivariable Control

In this paper a robust controller design method for aero-engine MIMO system is given by using the quantitative feedback theory (QFT). A robust non-diagonal controller design methodology for 2×2MIMO systems is presented. A quality function is introduced to check the effect of the non-diagonal controller. QFT technique is then employed to design a robust multivariable controller for the aero-engine plant such that the required robust stability and tracking performance are satisfied. An example is given to illustrate the feasibility of the presented method for designing a robust controller for aero-engine control MIMO systems, which shows the practical use of this technique.
