Experimental demonstration of a polarization-insensitive self-homodyne detection receiver for optical access

We demonstrate a polarization and phase noise insensitive self-homodyne detection receiver combining coherent and direct detection receivers with a MISO equalizer. We show less than 0.6 dB penalty with laser linewidths up to 30 MHz regardless of the input polarization.
