Ray-tracing simulations and millimeter wave massive MIMO performance evaluation for rail traffic scenarios

This paper presents a practical study on the influence of scenarios on millimeter wave massive MIMO performance evaluation and optimal number of train access points at 60GHz band. The specification on the path loss model is developed for six rail traffic scenario modules. In particular, we prove that the channel parameters used for millimeter wave massive MIMO performance evaluation and optimal number of train access points should be deterministic and accurate. Finally, the simulation results imply that the influence of different scenarios should be evaluated when verifying millimeter wave massive MIMO for future rail traffic communications.
