Systems, Standards and Information Management Systems PHYSIOLOGICAL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE BASILAR MENBRANE/VOCAL TRACT ON TRANSPUTERS

Concurrent models of the Basilar Membrane(BM) and Vocal Tract(VT) have been developed using the Occam programming language. The models will form the basis for the development of medical diagnostic tools for the hearing and vocally impaired. To approach real-time simulation considerable processing power is essential and we have aimed to achieve this using a multiprocessor system constructed from transputers. a wide body of non-computer specialists to exploit the power and flexibility of parallel systems.
