PURPOSE: To reduce a time required for fault recovery of an electronic device at a remote location by interrupting power application to the electronic device for a prescribed time and then applying power again thereto based on an initial izing command signal. CONSTITUTION: When a feeding tentative interruption device 24 of a terminal equipment 2 is called and an initializing command signal SS is received via a telephone line KSn, a telephone line interface (I/F) section 41 outputs a power supply entire interruption signal 41g, a power supply interruption section 43 interrupts the supply of commercial power supply to a data communication section 23 for a time set by a timer means 43a based on the power supply entire interruption signal 41g and simultaneously a power supply interrupt section 44 interrupts the supply of commercial power supply to a data processing section 22 for a time set by a timer means 44a. Since the data communication section 23 and the data processing section 22 are provided with functions such as power-ON initializing, the initializing is implemented after the commercial power supply is applied again and each electric device for the data communication section 23 and the data processing section 22 is restored to the initial state.
