Research on Stakeholder Management Framework in Construction Projects

The aim of this paper is to propose a framework for stakeholder management in construction projects,and to validate it.Based on literature review,strengths and limitations of three notable models for stakeholder management were analyzed first.Thereby,the research objective,to establish a systematic framework for stakeholder management considering Social Network Theory,was proposed.To achieve this objective,interview and questionnaire were applied to collect opinions from practitioners in the construction field.Based on the findings of these empirical studies,a systematic framework for stakeholder management was developed,which comprises a precondition,four management activity groups and one continuous support group.The effectiveness of the proposed framework was finally verified by a case study.
