This report gives all information and details of our project which is based on the concept of ‘SELF-ENERGY SUSTAINABLE PLAYGROUND FOR CHILDREN. According to the research a lot of energy is consumed by the rides in the playgrounds and parks, while a lot of energy is also given away. Which is actually consumable, but it is wasted. Rides like merry-go-rounds, sea-saw, swings and Ferris wheel can be used as energy sources. The energy conserved through these rides can be used for the amendment of the park such as the lighting etc. the main idea through this is to create the concept of green culture and saving electricity this method is extremely beneficial for developing countries and can give positive impact on economy and growth. In this project we designed a system using a flywheel for the purpose of creating useful energy. Flywheel is one of the oldest storage technologies, it made such a difficult task, having such an appreciable aspect in increasing its productivity or efficiency and dependable of power source and equal with ultra-capacitors. A flywheel conserves momentum through which energy is restored. Energy is transferred to a flywheel by the application of a torque for dynamic balancing of the engine and to store energy. In recent developed times flywheels consists of very complex constructions, where energy is stored and transferred mechanically. Now-a-days mostly engineers started using the conception of storing of kinetic energy in some rotary object to level the operation. In the following report it is stated how this flywheel is going to work in order to attain our goal the details of the part and mechanism is also discussed.
