Experimental design of serial feed sequentially rotated 2/spl times/2 truncated corner patch antenna array

A 2.45 GHz circularly polarized 2/spl times/2 patch antenna array is presented; it employs sequential rotation of single feed truncated corner square patch elements. Appropriate phase shifting and power splitting are achieved via an optimized serial feed arrangement. The resulting structure has 10 dB return loss bandwidth of 73 MHz and 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 20 MHz The results obtained by the Agilent Momentum package (ADS) and measurements confirm the integrity of the design.
