System and method for automatically storing tobacco trays

The invention relates to a system and a method for storing tobacco trays. The system comprises a logistics scheduling system, a shape detecting device, an storage applying station, at least two stacker receiving and temporary storing stations, and at least two secondary storage applying stations. The shape detecting device is connected with the storage applying station through a first tray conveying device. Each secondary storage applying station is disposed in front of each stacker receiving and temporary storing station and connected with the storage applying station through an annular second tray conveying device. The secondary storage applying stations are connected with one another through the annular second tray conveying device. When a tray reaches the secondary storage applying station corresponding to a target stacker, the logistics scheduling system receives and stores the tray according to working status of the target stacker and temporary storage status of the corresponding receiving and temporary storing station or transfers the tray to other stacker receiving and temporary storing stations through the second tray conveying device. By the system, one-time storage success rate of trays is increased, storage blocking is reduced, and storage efficiency is increased.
