Hereditary Chin‐trembling with Nocturnal Myoclonus and Tongue‐biting in Dizygous Twins

A fine, rapid, intermittent chin tremor was noted in one of dizygous twin boys, aged 21 months, who had presented with occasional myoclonic jerking and tongue‐biting. It transpired that the other twin, the father, and several male paternal relatives had had a similar tremor. Male prevalence of a recessively inherited non‐progressive brain‐stem abnormality was inferred.
