The fault trees are set up to analyse the five failure modes of wire controlled four-wheel independent brake system on electric vehicle. The hardware redundancy is designed. The control strategy with ASIL D is established. The method of joint simulation of CarSim and MATLAB/Simulink is adopted. After fault injection, the simulation tests are carried out under the conditions of wire brake. It shows that the system has reached the ASIL D from analyses.
