To research the feasibility and some technical problems of transmitting electric power from large sale new energy base to load center with long distance, an effective simulation model is indispensable. In this paper, a digital-analog hybrid model of large scale wind and thermo electric power connecting into the network with HVDC link is formed based on real-time digital simulator HYPERSIM and UHVDC analog model. The power connection technology is used to connect analog UHVDC simulator with HYPERSIM and simulate the power exchange between two systems, which combines with the merits of digital simulator and analog simulator. The dynamic responding character of the model is verified by steady and transient faults simulating. The technology difficulty is solved to exactly simulating HVDC system dynamic responding character at the same time simulating large scale wind and thermo electric power system. This model provides an indispensable technical measure to study large scale wind and thermo electric power connecting into the network and the adaptability of HVDC link to large scale wind power. It can also be used to study the coordination control between ac and dc system.
