This paper is an experimental study on the joint of Mero-type inspace truss. For this study, the joint specimens composed with the members of ball, bolt, sleeve and cone is experiments. The following results are accepted by the experiments. The failure of joint by imposed tensile force should be derived from that of the screw part of the bolt which is not inserted in the ball.The diameter of the ball and the length of the sleeve-opening are determined by that of the bolt inserted to the ball. The ball designed with above method is sufficient to accept the compressive force. The section area of the sleeve and be calculated from its effective section area.
