Using Remote Memory Paging for Handheld Devices in a Pervasive Computing Environment

Pervasive computing is the technology for the future. With efficient smart spaces and the proliferation of mobile devices and wireless networking standards, there are a lot of interesting potential solutions to many of the current problems. Due to the nomadic life of users, devices that are portable and handheld are highly useful in a pervasive computing environment. But there are severe problems that seem to be an obstacle for the usage of handheld devices in a pervasive environment. The major problem faced by hand held devices are the lack of memory space to run bigger application processes. In this paper, we define this problem and propose a possible solution for it.
