Based on thermal-moisture transfer mechanism and thermal-moisture comfort indictor of weft knitted plain fabric,a new approach was developed and applied to appraise the relationship between thermal-moisture comfort and process parameters.Using the thermal-moisture comfort data gathered from laboratory,thermal-moisture transfer mathematical models of weft knitted plain fabric were established and optimized with multiple regression analysis.With unified objective method,a thermal-moisture comfort comprehensive evaluation system was established.The results indicated that the thermal comfort mainly depended on thermal conductivity and thickness of the fabric;the moisture comfort mainly depended on thickness of the fabric and linear density of the yarn;with comprehensive evaluation system,the thermal-moisture comfort of weft knitted plain fabric can be evaluated and compared with each other effectively.
