Communicating to colocated ad-hoc receiving nodes in a fading environment

This paper considers wireless ad hoc networks where a remote source sends information to a destined user embedded within a group of K colocated users enjoying favorable SNR conditions among themselves, but suffering from quasistatic flat Rayleigh fading with respect to the source. Under stringent delay constraints a cooperative transmission strategy is proposed, achieving a substantial throughput benefit when the colocation gain is large.
