Varying Allocation Formulas to Identify Discipline-Specific Serials Budgets

Abstract This article describes Western Kentucky University Library’s process for reallocating their serials budget, including the rationale behind using a formula and the selection of formula inputs. The author combined different formula inputs to generate a range of values and used this range to identify funding discrepancies between disciplines and to guide future budget allocations.
