Analogical Leveling in Samaná English

L'A. apporte sa contribution a l'etude du nivellement analogique, processus par lequel une forme irreguliere est remplacee par une forme reguliere. Il analyse en particulier la forme preterit du verbe anglais to be, soit was et were, dont la distinction morphologique singulier-pluriel constitue une exception au nivellement analogique. L'analyse porte sur la variation de was et were en anglais samana
