We propose in this paper the use of a monopolar version of the Yagi-Uda antenna connected to a switched oscillator (SWO). At the resonance frequency, this antenna offers a higher impedance than, for example, a Half Impulse Radiating Antenna (HIRA), a helical or a conical antenna. On the other hand, compared to an Impulse Radiating Antenna or a helical antenna, Yagi-Uda (YU) is relatively easy to assemble and can withstand high amplitude fields.
