The invention relates to reactive power compensators and particularly discloses a multiple medium-capacity static var generator. The static var generator comprises a double DSP circuit, an FPGA circuit, a voltage and current sampling circuit, an SCI, a TFT liquid crystal touch screen, a switching power supply, an LCL grid connection filter, a soft starter and a three-phase full bridge voltage inverter circuit. An alternate-current power supply is input into the switching power supply through an isolation transformer, the soft starter is triggered to rectify the power supply through the LCL grid connection filter to the direct-current side voltage of the inverter circuit so that the power supply can be stabilized, the voltage and current sampling circuit transmits sampling values to the FPGA circuit, and meanwhile the sampling values are transmitted to the TFT liquid crystal touch screen through the SCI. The sampling values are transmitted to the double DSP circuit through the FPGA circuit, through calculation, PWM is transmitted to an IGBT driver board, the three-phase full-bridge voltage inverter circuit is driven to output reactive power current, and the reactive power current is connected into a power grid through the LCL grid connection filter. The static var generator is simple in technology, low in cost, high in reliability, small in electromagnetic interference and suitable for on-site large-capacity reaction power compensation and reactive power compensation in a TSC combined operation mode.
