Overview of Spacecraft Trajectory Optimization Using Genetic Algorithm

The status of the genetic method applied to spacecraft trajectory optimi{ation was introduced.The shortcomings of indirect and direct method were given.Some key problems such as parameterized method,disposing method of constraints and genetic strategy were investigated,and some results of the authors in these problems were introduced.The demand and the application of multi-objective trajectory optimization were analyzed.Some drawbacks and advices on spacecraft trajectory optimization using genetic algorithm were pointed out.The study results show that GA is being developed into a key intelligent optimization method for spacecraft trajectory design which is different from the direct and indirect method.
