Methods and systems for providing a transient torque build

It is shown a method and system for providing a suitable motor torque build-up during a transient condition. In one example, when a desired intake manifold pressure is greater than a throttle inlet pressure of a first throttle, a second, upstream of the first throttle positioned throttle is opened to increase the throttle inlet pressure. By the method, a suitable torque structure can be provided, while minimizing the impact on fuel economy.
