This study is mainly concerned with laundry workers, their nature of work, their washing material needs, their health issues and the protection in laundry work. The hospital administration is taking care of laundry workers. The area of the study is confined to Trichy city and the primary and secondary data are used in this study. The data were analysed using appropriate statistical tools such as percentages, chi-square test and ranking technique, Likert scaling techniques, correlation and analysis of variance.
