Proposal of Web system "NAP-Web" to promise next access

In recent years, rapid popularization and growth of World Wide Web increases user and produces various services. Therefore, the workload of Web server is increased. Increased workload causes that Web server can not provide enough service frequently. Whenever such a thing happens, a user complains and service provider loses their honor. Generally, server overload problem is solved by server load balancing technique. However, for operation cost problem, it is impossible to prepare enough computer resources to remove users' complaints completely. In this paper, the Web system "NAP-Web" is proposed. NAP-Web relieves users' complaints with promising next time when they can be served. NAP-Web needs three functions: dynamic load balancing, next access promising, and next access support. In this paper, access scheduling mechanism is designed and its prototype is implemented. The access scheduling mechanism is needed to realize dynamic load control and next access promising. The result of evaluation of prototype shows that access scheduling mechanism makes dynamic load balancing and next access promising possible.
