Analysis of beamforming algorithms for GPS receivers in the jamming environment

This paper investigates the anti-jamming capability of two beamforming algorithms with linear constraints based on minimum variance criterion,MVDR and PI in the GPS anti-jamming receiver, and simultaneously analyzes implementation scenarios and the performance loss brought in by the estimation errors of covariance matrix and DOA.The GPS software signal source is used to analyze the algorithm's performance under ULA array and different DOAs of the expected signal. The simulation validates the satisfactory performance of broadband jamming elimination.Besides, the performance curve of SINR output versus the "distance" between the expected signal and the jamming signal is presented, from which we can access the influence on the GPS signal from jamming source and determine the corresponding constellation selection in the navigation solution, and improve the position precision for GPS receiver.
