Development mangaba seedlings from fruits of different locations in the State of Goiás.

The objective of this study was to evaluate, in nursery, seedling development of H. speciosa from different areas of the State of Goias. In these areas 116 plants from 10 areas from selected, collecting 12 fruits per plant to obtain the seeds. From a sample of 16 seeds representing each mother plant two seeds per pot were sown and kept in the nursery. Those seeds that originate seedlings were analyzed for length (cm) and number of leaf pair (NPF). Data were collected monthly for each progeny until the tenth (10th) evaluation. Analysis of variance was performed and means were compared by Tukey test at 5% probability. Seedlings growth stopped between May and September. The average monthly growth ranged from 0.1 cm to 6.1 cm, with an average rate of 2.19 cm end. It is worth researching alternatives of seedling production for shorter periods.
