Development of Spatial Wave Packets in Boundary Layer

The main results of the experimental investigation on an evolution of localized in space and harmonic in time linear packets of Blasius boundary layer waves are presented. A complex frequency-wavelength Fourier analysis of the data permits to study stability characteristics (including dispersive ones) for a fan of 3-D waves in a wide range of propagation angles.
