Average diameter of network structures and its estimation

This paper continues the work on average diameter, which is intended to be a more global measurement of the data transfer capability of network structures. However, for some more complicated structures, because of the involved combinatorial complexity, a precise combinatorial and/or asymptotic analysis of their average diameters is quite difficult and even impractical. In this paper, we discuss several related notions, and suggest some empirical approach to derive approximated value of this revealing measurement of network structures.
