Study on Population Mobility Network among Towns Based on Improved Radiation Model

It is of great significance for the regional urban system planning and industrial structure adjustment to explore the relationship and spatial structure of population mobility on the scale of town.The paper,from the perspective of complex network theory,by introducing spatial accessibility to traditional radiation and correcting parameter,builds a network of population mobility among towns.From the perspectives of node,community structure,scale free and small world characteristics,the paper also discusses the spatial distribution pattern and complex network characteristics of population mobility under the influence of regional differences.On basis of the empirical research of 55 towns in Jingmen City,the results reveal that: firstly,the node degree distribution of population mobility network of towns in Jingmen City centers around the towns who are relatively developed,presents a pattern of spatial disparities with the characteristics of "one vertical line and two horizontal lines",and shows an obvious couple relationship with the urban system and industrial layout of Jingmen City.Secondly,the whole network consists of four communities whose interior spatial structures are close and different from each other and the relationships among them are relatively loose.Thirdly,impacted by the spatial distance and geographic environment,scale free charateristics are not obvious.Fourthly,to certain extent,the network bears the characteristic of small world whose overall connectivity and local clustering are obvious.By improving the traditional model,the paper realizes the visual presentation of the relationship and distribution of township population mobility in the heterogeneous space,and the results of this empirical research are of great value in decision making of Jingmen’s town planning and industrial layout.
