INTENSA: Heart failure patient's follow-up system using the ISO/IEEE11073 standard

This paper presents a novel implementation methodology of ISO/IEEE11073 standards for use in real monitoring platforms based on patterns paradigm. These monitoring platforms include several medical devices based on low voltage-low power microprocessors. As a proof of the concept, INTENSA project which aims to develop and evaluate a heart failure follow-up interoperable system including weigh scale, blood pressure and HOLTIN devices, is briefly described.
