Design system and design method for a driver assistance system

The design system processes machine-readable semantic modules (130), describe semantically which system modules (101), a driver assistance system (100), and checked on the basis of the semantic modules (130), a validity of system output (102) of the driver assistance system (100). In this way, a uniform, continuous and formal description of the method and system modules (101) in the design process of driver assistance systems using semantic modules is provided for the first time. This has inter alia the advantage that the sensors installed in the vehicle in principle to be realized for all on the vehicle driver assistance functions or applications are available. Furthermore, the design process is greatly simplified and accelerated. The system modules (101) with associated semantic modules (130) are reusable via the special design of addition and can be developed as such. Their validation can be decoupled from the specific application. The formal specification of the properties of the system modules (101) in the semantic modules (130) enables a formal analysis of the overall system from these characteristics. For the validation of the individual modules can therefore be concluded that the validity of the resulting overall system. The verification and / or validation by means of the semantic modules (130) can replace many experimental validations of subsystems and experiments during development and thus cause considerable acceleration in the design, as well as cost savings.
